Assignment  Paragraph Novel

“oh the horror...the horror...” this quote was withdrawn from Heart of Darkness and Apocalypse now, but it can definitely be related to the book The Throne of Fire. This novel written by Rick Riordan tell us the story of two siblings, Carter and Sadie Kane, which have to fight against the forces of chaos to save the world. The forces of chaos can be considered as the “horror” of the quote upon, Aphophis, the chaos god, wants to overthrow all the other gods and swallow the sun thus ending with human civilization. In order to prevent aphophis, Carter and Sadie undergo an almost impossible quest to awake the old god Rah, the god that represents harmony and goodness.During their journey they pass through hopeless moments, they lost their parents and friends but against all the odds they overcome evil and awake Rah. I think the meaning behind the story is that there will always exist good and evil, and you always have to work hard and believe on your principles to stay on the right side. “The right choice is hardly ever the easy choice.” - Carter Kane.
