Oh the Horror, the Horror...

Oh the horror, the Horror...
Jake Nightingale

“Oh the horror, the horror...” applies perfectly to the Lord of the Flies, as the characters are a bunch of young kids stranded on an island with no food. That would be a horror for many people; especially because they are in sync with civilized life and probably don’t have too much survival knowledge. This would be a physical and psychological obstacle to overcome and would be difficult to adapt to a much simpler of more difficult way of life. The kids are susceptible to disease, starvation and injury which is horrible for children to suffer through.
