Oh The Horror, The Horror..

In our day to day lives, we face minor horrors that may seem bigger to one person than to another. In the novel, “The life of Pi” by Yann Martel, the protagonist faces many, the quote “oh the horror, the horror,” fits perfectly. Pi has grown up in a fairly sheltered life, with out many problems. He's lived with dangerous animals in captivity and grown to love God in every way. As a young adult his biggest problem is trying to convince his parents to let him follow every religion his heart desires. When his family decides to move to Canada on a cargo ship, Pi's life takes a turn for the worst. The ship starts to sink and he loses all his family and is forced upon a small lifeboat with several desperate animals. All struggling to survive off each other and avoiding the blood thirsty sharks swarming around them. Pi must face his horrors head on in order to survive.
